2009 Vintage Comments
Vintage commenced mid Febrauary approx 14 days earlier than average picking dates. This allowed us to bring in our old vine shiraz fruit at lower baume with full flavourings. During March as the temperatures became much milder our old vine cab sav showed its true character of the plains with amazing varietal blackberry and leafy notes with great tannins, this followed with shiraz harvest up the foothills to our One Tree Hill growers that produced classic shiraz status. End of March sees us march back down the foothills to hand pick our old vine Grenache which looks to be our finest.
